Founders
GECEL was founded by the renowned and visionary doctor Bernardo Pichardo Caba, a professional with more than two decades of experience and the vision to make advanced cell therapy services available to the Dominican Republic.
What is cell therapy?
Cell therapy encompasses a wide range of clinical procedures that use biological products, fresh or stored, as a regenerative medicine tool to replace and/or repair cells and tissues damaged by natural aging or due to pathology or trauma.
Among the most common cell therapies are the very popular exosomes, amniotic fluid, platelet-rich plasma and, of course, the use of adult mesenchymal stem cells (MSC). These cells are found in almost every tissue in our body but have a higher concentration in sources such as umbilical cord blood, the vascular stromal fraction of adipose tissue and bone marrow.

GECEL's facilities have an efficient infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment for applying advanced cellular therapies. The facility was designed with the patient as the center, making each of its spaces respond optimally to the needs of patients.
New patients
To allow us to meet our patients, we provide them with the new patient's form; this form will help us to track the medical history of our patients as well as follow their medical history with us.
